The seminar organized by Comunicatii Mobile on the occasion of celebrating 10 years of activity in IT&C was good opportunity for Topex to update the public on its trends and future projects.

The event gathered together the IT&C community in Romania and the main theme was Romanian telecommunication business pattern in the East and Central European environment. Topex products portfolio emphases best the evolution from 2G to 3G technology. Moreover, we are the single Romanian company designing and producing state-of-the-art telecommunication equipment. Our success is to be seen best in the destination of our equipment: more than two thirds of our products are exported to Europe: France, Spain, Greece, Holland, Swiss, Hungary, etc. The increase of the telecommunication market in Romania in the close future means for an increased presence of Topex equipment inside the Romanian companies. The future plans include launching of three more products in the first quarter 2005: multiACCESS Switch, UMTS Interface, VoIP Gateway

Topex was invited by Lucent Technologies and Nordisk Mobiltelefon AB (NMAB) to join them in conducting a CDMA450 network trial in Finland at the end of October.

The project focused on delivering in rural areas digital voice and high-speed data services at speeds of up to 2.4 Mbps - the fastest mobile data speeds available in the country. Our products that have been tested are Access LAN and BYTTON EV-DO and Wi-Fi equipped. The CDMA450 trial covered the Tampere region. The performance of our products demonstrated the capability of Topex solution and proved to be a real success and a strong motivational factor for us

Topex participated at the 450 MHz Digitalization International Conference held on 8th of September 2004 at Bucharest JW Marriott Hotel.

We were present there as the unique Romanian provider that develops and produces interfaces that allows high speed data traffic on EV-DO platform. There have been held presentations and demos with Access LAN together with the Romanian CDMA Operator, Zapp. Topex product "Access LAN " will be officially launched in October. It was appreciated by the public as a creative solution for the actual needs of the small and medium offices; it allows the splitting of the speed provided by the operator to a group of users (with two options: with and without Wi-Fi). Another product especially created for the CDMA users is Access Ti which allows companies to reduce the value of the telephone bill

Between 31 August and 5 September 2004 Topex participated at CeBIT Istanbul.

We were the single Romanian presence at this exhibition, which is one of the most important IT&C international fairs. Attending this exhibition Topex made the first step to the Euro-Asian market. The contact with the public in that region diversified our experience, allowed us to identify the real needs of that market and demonstrated that Topex products which are welcomed on West European market - found significant request on Euro-Asian Market.
