TOPEX introduces QUTEX gateway.

This versatile equipment provides enterprises with a unified, flexible communication system meant for radical savings on the companies telecommunication cost. Through the use of QUTEX, companies with both national and international branches, can benefits of the convergence of mobile, fix and IP telephony. By way of its Least Cost Routing feature, QUTEX forwards the telephone calls to the most economic route considering the time, date, etc.

QUTEX features multiple possibilities of interfaces. It is dedicated to VoIP communications supporting interfaces like PRI, BRI, E1, GSM, FXO, FXS in the same time. The equipment supports H 323 and SIP protocols as well as ISDN, SS7, R2, R1.5.

Topex participated at CERF - the largest IT&C exhibition in Romania.

The offer presented covered all types of domains that TOPEX approaches: GSM, UMTS, CDMA, VoIP, Switching, and ATC. We launched on this occasion VOXELL, the UMTS interface, ideal solution for decreasing the telephone costs of companies generated by fix-to-mobile calls.

The participation at this event underlined the change in the vision and market approach of TOPEX: we are not anymore just a BBX producer but we are now designing and producing equipment that include state of the art technologies. Topex organized on 7ht of April at JW Bucharest Marriott Grand Hotel the seminar : Empowering communications - the new approach of TOPEX.

In the last two years, the R&D team of TOPEX finalized a number of products that include the latest technology in telecommunications and are designed to meet the most recent communications needs emerged on the Romanian market. This product was expected with great interest by the IT&C market. QUTEX is a VoIP-GSM or/and E1 gateway. It is an ideal solution for corporate business. BYTTON is a CDMA WiFi bridge for high speed data traffic, EV-DO embedded. It administrates and connects LAN networks to Internet using CDMA network. Being present at CeBIT reinforced TOPEXs name and awareness on the international market.

Under the umbrella of Lucent Technologies, Topex is exhibiting there its latest product for CDMA EV-DO networks: BYTTON Wi-Fi. This device is a unique product enabling wireless data transmission over the CDMA EV-DO network. BYTTON Wi-Fi is an advanced wireless CDMA gateway for data traffic that administrates and connects LAN networks to the internet via CDMA EV-DO high speed mobile network. It is an ideal solution for SOHO, remote locations or temporary events, very useful mobile solution for broadband internet access.

Topex has the pleasure to announce the launching of GSM-VoIP Gateway that allows you to terminate calls from GSM to VoIP and vice-verse.

The VoIP card supports SIP and H323 protocols and permit up to 30 VoIP calls. It can be equipped with 30 GSM channels, as well as up to 6 E1.

31 January-3 February, ATC Maastricht, Netherlands, the most attended event for the worldwide ATC/ATM industry took place.

The only Romanian companies attending the event, with their own stand, are TOPEX and Datanet Systems. The solution they have presented is the world first fully-IP implementation of a multi-service transport network for ATC.

The network is achieved according to ATC requirements (redundancy, reliability, response delays, and automated reconfiguration in case of failure) and supports transport of all types of data and voice (Air/Ground and Ground/Ground).

The main benefits of this solution are: a single IP infrastructure versus multiple networks implemented with different technologies, unified management, achievement and maintenance costs over 50% lower than other technologies (ATM) that could provide the same services and features, personnel training and specialization for a single technology (IP).

This solution is already implemented and runs in real traffic since more than one year inside ROMATSA (The Romanian Air Traffic Services). The network interconnects all 17 sites of ROMATSA which are placed all around Romania. It was appreciated both by the visitors and by the exhibitors as being the future technology for the ATC infrastructure implementation.
