IC conference provided the participants with all the knowledge they need to grow their business in the telecoms industry. At the Broadband Convention held in Bucharest JW Marriott, between 13 and 14 of November 2007, TOPEX sponsored the Convention next to UPC company.

This Convention represents the most important event of the cable industry in Romania, being the place where the established TV channels alongside of the newcomers were presenting their newest productions. The Convention also hosted an exhibition area where the latest technologies were displaying by technology and equipment suppliers.

TOPEX presentation "Adding voice to CATV suppliers networks" was performed by Radu Balaci, Business Development Manager at TOPEX, on the 14th of November, within "Equipments and Technologies for video, data, voice" session next to companies like Peruvision, CommScope or Motorola.

Between the 23rd and 25th of October TOPEX took part at the 6th edition of the International Broadband Communications Conference, The Third Wave, held at World Trade Plaza, Bucharest

"The International Broadband Communications Conference" is a referential yearly event, one of the most important from the area of international IT&C events. 

This 6th edition was entitled "The Third Wave" and it was opened to the major technology creators, equipment producers, operators, application developers and regulatory authorities.

"Voice over Broadband in Next Generation Networks" was the title of the presentation performed by Radu Balaci - Business Development Manager at TOPEX and it was sustained in the second day of the event in Network core technologies section, next to important international companies like Nokia Siemens Networks, Romtelecom, Intrarom and IBM.

Between October 9th and 12th, TOPEX solutions were presented at EXPO COMM Argentina, the Latin American's most powerful gathering of players in the Telecommunications and Technology Industry.

TOPEX developed IP hosted services for small sized service providers on TOPEX multiSwitch application. New version of TOPEX Bytton router is released.

TOPEX is proud to introduce a new version of Bytton wireless router incorporating innovative features such as the DUAL SIM technology which permits the unit to automatically switch networks in the event of one network failure, IPSec VPN, L2TP, PPTP tunnels over the internet with complete security.

The router acts as a voice cost optimizer tool for fixed to mobile calls with Least Cost Routing capability.

TOPEX is pleased to announce that the Asterisk version 1.4.0-beta 2 was successfully installed on his gateway (mG).

TOPEX miniGateway is built around the Mindspeed 82820 convergence processor featuring 60 VoIP channels, 2E1 trunks with ISDN-PRI signaling.

The bridging and conference was modified to use processor's DSP facilities thus freeing the host processor from processing software codecs and media traffic.

This makes it suitable for applications like IP PBX, Call Center, IVR, Voice Mail or upgrades of non IP PBXs to VoIP.

The presence of the Asterisk software in the TOPEX gateway gives users the possibility to easily configure the gateway via a Graphical Interface (GUI), available on the World Wide Web, in order to customize it accordingly to their needs.

Asterisk includes all the features of a PBX and can operate with almost all telephony equipments.

At the end of 2006, the two companies signed an agreement, accordingly to which, StreamWIDE will provide complementary NGN applications, enhancing TOPEX Next Generation Network offering.

Under this new agreement, StreamWIDE will also distribute TOPEX's NGN equipments.
