Position Overview Statement

Working closely with Sales, the Customer, Project Management, Research and Development, Production, and Product Management on system requirements and design;

Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Analyze and clarify customer requirements presented on tender books;
  • Collect, analyzes and organizes basic engineering data to develop engineering documentation;
  • Perform Site survey activities and fill survey reports;
  • Provide system design and solutions based on customer requirements (from High Level Design to detailed design), including, but not limited to:

    • oSystem BoM
    oSystem architecture (network design, data flows)
    oRack and room layout
    oSignal and power block diagrams
    oPower budget calculation
    oCables design and estimations
    oIP address and configuration plan
    oHMI design

  • Identify and report issues and eventual improvements to the affected departments;

Requirements

  • University degree in telecommunication, computer science or similar;
  • Good knowledge in computer communications, LAN/WAN, core protocols (TCP/IP, Layer 2&3, network protocols);
  • Good knowledge about the structure of the telecom field;
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio;
  • Good knowledge about VoIP Telephony concept;

Would be an asset

  • Previous experience in VoIP telecommunications, networking, customer support or field engineer;
  • Cisco Certifications;
  • Basic concepts of radio and telephony systems;
  • Basic knowledge about Air Traffic Managemen;t
  • Basic programming skills (VBA, Python or similar);
