Channel Manager Telecom

 

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Channel Sales and/or Management background with companies marketing IP PBXs, telecom equipments, VOIP services will be strongly preferred.
Telecommunication knowledge and experience is required.

If you have sales and management experience in Channel Sales, are aggressive and self-motivated, and wish to take your career to the next level and looking for a new challenge.

 

REQUIREMENTS:


2 or more years of experience (Telecom Channel OR VOIP) sales
A successful track record in Channel sales management.
Experience running an indirect channel or a direct channel in the VOIP or PBX world.
Demonstrated success in Channel Sales.
Experience developing innovative solutions to attract, recruit and retain Agents and Resellers
Clean driving record
Local market knowledge helpful.

Primary Responsibilities (in order of importance and amount of time spent on task)

 

Driving Sales(60%)

 

  • Achieve quantitative sales goal for assigned territory
  • Determine sales priorities and strategies for territory and develop a plan for implementing those strategies
  • Conduct product presentation
  • Employ telephone selling techniques
  • Negotiate projects and special packaging agreements with customers and channels
  • Initiate and conduct presentations and sales trips as appropriate to maximize sales with the effective use of travel budget. Also use internal resources to support the territory sales goals
  • Plan and execute in-territory special selling events and fairs
  • Develop and implement in-territory promotional campaigns and targeted email campaigns

 

Report and Communicate (25%)

 

  • Report, track and sign sales projects
  • Gather and communicate significant market feedback and information

 

Territory management (15%)

  

  • Track and report all pending and closed business in assigned territory
  • Maintain records of customer sales and adoption solutions in assigned territory
  • Manage operating budget
  • Submit territory itineraries, sales plan, and sales forecast as assigned
  • Provide superior customer service and maintain professional relations in assigned territory

  

Decision-making Responsibilities for this position:

 

  • Determine the priority of customer and account contacts to achieve maximum sales potential
  • Determine where in person presentations and special selling events would be most effective to generate most sales
